What we process

We handle only the information needed to operate the service:

• Public Instagram URLs / @usernames you paste, to fetch the publicly available media variants.
• Basic server logs (e.g., request time, user agent, truncated IP) for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. Logs are rotated and retained for a limited period.

We do not require login, and we do not access private Instagram data.

Cookies & analytics

InstaViewer aims to be privacy-minded. If analytics are used, we prefer cookieless, privacy-preserving solutions to understand basic usage (e.g., page counts, referrers) and improve stability. We avoid cross-site tracking and do not sell data. Essential cookies (if any) are used strictly to operate the site.

How we use the data

• Operate and maintain core functionality (fetching publicly available media for your pasted URL).
• Prevent abuse, ensure service integrity, and diagnose outages or errors.
• Improve performance and user experience across devices and regions.

Sharing & disclosure

We don’t sell your personal information. We may share minimal data with infrastructure or analytics providers that help us operate the service (e.g., hosting/CDN). These providers are bound by agreements to process data only on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Retention

Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for security, diagnostics, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized. Pasted URLs are processed transiently to fetch media and are not stored beyond what’s required to serve your request.

Your choices & rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or object to/limit certain processing. To make a request, contact support@instaviewer.com. We’ll respond consistent with applicable laws (e.g., GDPR/CCPA where applicable).

Children’s privacy

InstaViewer is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us to remove it.

Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their practices. Review their privacy policies to understand how they handle data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements. We’ll revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
